Meet Cynthia
I am running for the Val Verde Unified School District Board, Trustee Area 4. As a mother of a Val Verde student, military wife, and long time community member I will offer balance and perspective to this group. I am passionate about bettering my community and currently serve as a Community Services Supervisor for the City of Perris. Together we can put education and safety first for our students.
I am a firm believer that everything is possible through education. Quality education can only take place by addressing the whole needs of the student. This means focusing on safety, mental and physical health, equitable teaching practices, as well as a modern curriculum.
I am watching our community grow at an amazingly rapid rate. That kind of growth requires the major organizations that provide services, like the Val Verde Unified School District, to keep up with the demands of our area. I want the opportunity to work with Val Verde to ensure they are hiring the best people available to continue delivering the quality education that they are known for.

Priorities
Support our teachers and staff
I want to partner with teachers and staff to ensure that they have the support, resources and guidance needed for a healthy and safe work environment.
Future Readiness
I want to partner with local colleges, trade schools and military branches to showcase the various opportunities that are available for our children's future.
public safety
I want to partner with the Val Verde Unified School District Police Department to help improve the safety of our schools and be a part of a district that encourages our youth to take on jobs that are service above self.
Transparency
Continue to make the Districts budget and decisions more transparent and publicly understandable.
Mental Health
Support the Mental Health initiatives and programs that the Val Verde Unified School District has in place. As well as work with staff to continue the successful resources that are already in place.
